" This is a great place to go if you are at all interested in research. The psychology department is particularly strong. The city is also a nice place to live in, as long as you can bear with the winters. "

" I had a great experience at UW-Madison. I moved there from Maryland and found that there was a nice combination of both in-state and out-of-state students. Out of state tuition is quite expensive, but the level of academia on campus is excellent. There is always room for improvement, especially in terms of diversity initiatives, but overall it was a positive memorable experience. "

" It's a good school. Dorm living sucks, but I think that is the way it is everywhere. They have on campus apartments available to 2nd+ year students and I highly recommend them. Beyond that and the questionable food, I have no complaints. I like almost all my teachers and they have been willing to help whenever I have asked. The campus is beautiful and they host many events if that is something you are into. They also have a great selection of majors, minors, and certificates and many classes, some of which other schools do not offer. Also our theater program is fun to watch and put on great shows "

" Beautiful campus! There are many student orgs, but sometimes you get lost amongst the crowd. Make sure to find your people and make friends with those who share but also those who challenge your values. "

" Having finished my undergraduate studies at UW - Madison less than a year ago, I can assuredly say my experience was wonderful! The campus is easily one of the prettiest in the United States, and there is much to explore and enjoy in the city. I have only had good experiences with the research and teaching faculty. The dining halls operate on a unique system where you pay for the food you eat rather than it being buffet-style (this saves money and food, and the food is much higher quality than other schools). Depending on the school, the facilities range from fairly old to new and modern. The career and networking opportunities are plentiful if you know where to look (worked 2 internships and a research position). "
