" Hunter College is a commuter college, expect to get a degree and nothing else. No social scene and very little academic advisement. If you are a self-directed overachiever there are ample opportunities for you but none are readily available if your professors don't vouch for you. "

" Hunter College is a good school in terms of the classes that are offered. Personally, the only downside is that the buildings are old and the environment doesn't really feel like a college campus. It kind of feels like you're in a high school building. "

" Hunter College is what you make out of it. It's a commuter school, so you have to make an effort to make connections with people. You just have to self-study in order to do well in most classes, especially the pre-med ones. Administration is pretty unresponsive and rude. The campus is falling apart, with rodents and broken ceilings being ubiquitous. Haven't seen any sports facilities here. I love my major and am really enjoying my classes! "

" Very bureaucratic and lacking in administrative support for students. Sometimes even during times they said they would be open OASIS (where you need to go to file forms such as major declaration) would be closed. There is a very small window when it is open so it is not very accessible. The school is very crowded so good luck using the elevators and escalators. The negatives having been said, I did find the teachers themselves engaging and great. My favorite teachers were those of the computer science department and the humanities departments. While this is a premed/nursing school I found that because there are so many of those students biology and chemistry professors are spread thin and therefore cannot give people individual attention. " Hunter College has a variety of majors to choose from and is one of the top CUNYs for a student interested in psychology. The campus (pre-COVID) does get pretty crowded and it might be hard to find a place to chill between classes if you aren't quick. It might be a bit harder to make friends at this school as well if you aren't someone who is dorming. "
